Tech Inspection & Car Number Guidelines

• Print, complete, and bring your tech inspection form to the track. Click here to download the tech inspection form
• The inspection must be done before you arrive—we do not perform the inspection for you.
• Ensure your vehicle is thoroughly checked for safety.
• You may complete the inspection yourself if you’re mechanically inclined or you can have a qualified tech complete the inspection.
• Bring the completed form to the track to hand in to the Tech Leader.

• You must have a driver’s wristband to enter the tech line.
• Place the completed form under your windshield wiper and remain in your car.
• The Tech Leader will review your form and confirm your number. This process takes about 2 minutes if prepared.
• Please do not leave your car in the tech line to go to registration.

• If you have a fully prepared race car with a sanctioned annual tech, you don’t need to go through the tech line, but we do need you to submit your tech sheet to the Tech Leader.

• All cars must display a number.
• Display your number using magnetic, vinyl, paper, tape, or we can mark it with glass chalk when you go through the tech line.
• The number you will be assigned is the number you requested as your preferred car number in your Chin driver profile. If no number is specified, a random number is assigned.
• To request a different number for future events, log in to your member account here and select "Request Preferred Car Number."
• If you need to change your car or car number for an event that you are already registered for, note the correct number on your tech form and inform the Tech Leader of the change.
